Calls
Calls for contributions
GSW 2027 invites contributions that advance knowledge, methods and practice across photogrammetry, remote sensing, Earth observation, spatial information science and related fields.
Contributions will be submitted to a specific workshop or session through the conference submission system. Authors should review the scope of the selected workshop before submitting.
Submission routes
GSW 2027 offers three submission routes, allowing authors to choose the format that best suits the intended publication of their work:
Full paper – ISPRS Annals
for substantial original scientific contributions submitted as full papers and evaluated through double-blind peer review.
Abstract-based paper – ISPRS Archives
for contributions initially submitted and reviewed as extended abstracts, with accepted authors subsequently submitting a camera-ready paper for publication in the ISPRS Archives.
Abstract-only contribution
for authors who wish to present their work at GSW 2027 without publishing a full paper in the ISPRS proceedings.
All submissions must be original and relevant to the selected workshop or session.
Full papers for the ISPRS Annals
Full papers should present substantial, original scientific contributions. Manuscripts must be 6–10 pages, including figures, tables and references, and must follow the ISPRS author guidelines and template.
Submissions will undergo double-blind peer review. Authors must therefore remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements and other information that could reveal their identity from the review manuscript.
Accepted papers that meet the scientific and editorial requirements will be published in the ISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences.

Extended abstracts should clearly describe the purpose, approach, principal results and significance of the work. They must be two single-spaced A4 pages, approximately 800–1,000 words, including figures, tables and references, and must follow the official ISPRS template.
Accepted authors will be invited to prepare a final paper for publication in the ISPRS Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences.

Each submission will be evaluated for relevance, scientific or technical quality, clarity and originality. The workshop scientific committees will manage reviews within the common GSW 2027 process, under the oversight of the International Scientific Committee.
The organisers may recommend transfer to another workshop where this would provide a better thematic fit. The final publication route will depend on the submission type, review outcome, completion of the camera-ready version and compliance with ISPRS publication requirements.
Publication is conditional on presentation at the event and registration of at least one author by the author registration deadline. Papers that are not presented may be excluded from the proceedings in accordance with ISPRS policy.

Call for workshops
The Geospatial Week 2027 Organizing Committee invites proposals for scientific workshops to be held as part of Geospatial Week 2027Geospatial Week is a unique event that brings together communities working in photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial information science, Earth observation, geoinformatics, and related disciplines. The GSW scientific programme is built around a series of thematic workshops organized by leading international scientific groups, projects, and communities. The GSW scientific programme is established by individual workshop organizers. Workshop tracks are conducted in parallel and are complemented by common keynote presentations that provide participants with a broader perspective on the overall meeting and emerging trends in geospatial sciences. As a general rule, individuals actively involved in ISPRS activities, such as Working Group officers and other members, are encouraged to participate in these committees. GSW organizers are also open for other submissions enriching the GSW programme.
To ensure a high and homogeneous scientific quality across all workshops, the overall programme is supervised by the Geospatial Week International Programme Committee.
Proposal content
Workshop proposals should not exceed two pages and should contain the following information:
1. Workshop Overview
- Title of the proposed workshop.
- Acronym.
- Names, affiliations, and contact details of the workshop organizers (3-5 people).
- Description of the workshop scope, objectives, and key topics to be addressed (up to 200 words).
2. Justification and Relevance
- Why the proposed topic represents an important and timely research area.
- Why the workshop is expected to attract high-quality scientific contributions.
- Why the workshop is likely to generate broad interest among conference participants beyond the submitting authors.
- How the proposed workshop distinguishes itself from existing workshops, conferences, or similar initiatives in the field.
3. Organizers
A brief biography of each organizer (up to 200 words per organizer).
4. Scientific Community Involvement
A preliminary list of potential Scientific Programme Committee members.
Names of prospective invited speakers, if available.
5. Workshop Format and Organization
Please provide details on the planned format, including:
- Expected duration (half-day, full-day, or other format).
- Preferred day within the conference schedule.
- Tentative agenda or schedule outline.
Innovative and interactive workshop formats are particularly encouraged. Proposals that include creative approaches, panel discussions, hands-on sessions, community activities, or other engaging formats that enrich the GSW scientific programme are especially welcome.
To support a coherent event, the organisers may invite related proposals to coordinate, merge or adjust their scope.
Submission
Workshop proposals should be submitted by email to: gsw2027@geodezja.org.pl with the subject line GSW 2027 Workshop Proposal.
- Proposal deadline:
30 September 202630 October 2026 - Selection and confirmation:
15 October 202615 November 2026
Evaluation
Proposals will be assessed on scientific relevance, clarity of scope, strength and diversity of the organising team, evidence of an active community, expected contribution to the overall programme and feasibility within the available schedule.
To support a coherent event, the organisers may invite related proposals to coordinate, merge or adjust their scope.
